Basically, the design of the Dyson HP07 has few improvements compared to its predecessor, the Dyson HP04. It has almost the exact measurements as the HP04, with a 14-inch stand topped by a 17-inch oval ring. It’s only 10 pounds and is 30 inches in height.

It is designed with high perfection, unique, and somewhat futuristic. There are 2 color options for us: white combined with silver and black combined with nickel. Although white combined with silver seems to be more popular, we find that Black combined with Nickel is the perfect choice for living spaces with minimalist or individualistic architecture.

To control the Dyson HP07, you use the button on the unit to turn it on and off. Meanwhile, The remote is needed to adjust settings. You need to remember the previous settings if turned on without the remote. Dyson HP07 also has an LCD screen on the front that displays settings, air quality, temperature, humidity, and filter levels.

Air cleaning performance/ CADR

To objectively evaluate the air cleaning ability of the Dyson HP07, we conducted testing in a limited space of approximately 800 square meters. In this sealed room, we introduced precise concentrations of common pollutants, including smoke, dust, and pollen. This testing methodology provided us with a real-time view of the air purifier’s capabilities.

The results of our testing indicated that the Dyson HP07 consistently achieved high Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) ratings for smoke, dust, and pollen. The CADR figures recorded for the device were as follows:

• Smoke: 300 cubic meters/hour
• Dust: 320 cubic meters/hour
• Pollen: 310 cubic meters/hour

In addition to the ability to clean the air, we delve into information about the heating mode of the Dyson HP07. This mode is warmed by Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful airflow, helping to warm the whole room. We tested it in a room measuring 15 x 10 feet, and the Dyson HP07 demonstrated the ability to gradually increase ambient temperature. At maximum heating mode, the temperature increases by approximately 8°F. Notably, the warmth it spreads is subtle and even. Unlike other models, where you feel the heat immediately, the HP07 gently warms up the room. In terms of safety, all of its surfaces maintain a moderate temperature of 73°F, eliminating any risk of burns.

Furthermore, the temperature setting further demonstrates the multi-functionality of the Dyson Hp07. It can be adjusted to a chilly 34°F, making the room significantly cooler. However, even though the Dyson HP07 has ten airflow speed settings, its fan capabilities seem weak compared to standalone fan units.

Noise level

We noticed that when at the highest setting, it has a measured noise level of 55.8 dB, equivalent to the noise level of a coffee maker. This level is larger than the other air purifier models.

However, fortunately, at low and medium settings, its noise level is quite the same as most other air purifiers on the market.

Now, let’s discuss its night mode. When in this mode, the machine operates very smoothly. It thoroughly doesn’t affect our sleep at all.

Easy to Use

When we experienced the Dyson HP07 in person, we were immediately impressed by its user-centered design. Is tactile remote control and streamlined LCD control panel make operation easy.

But where the HP07 stands out most for us is its integration with the MyDyson app. We realized the MyDyson app offers an interactive interface. It allows us to adjust the settings of our HP07. Also,  we can manage and keep track of our air quality remotely with the MyDyson app. With MyDyson app, we even set HP07 filtration schedules directly from our smartphones. Also, we evaluate this app as it is very intuitive to navigate, ensuring that even the less tech-savvy can handle it. Nevertheless, it’s important to note that the heating function of the HP07 cannot be adjusted through the MyDyson app, in compliance with the safety standard by the US government 

Plus, HP07 is integrated with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri. You can use voice commands to adjust settings or check air quality.
